This conference run by the HIAS History Advisor, Sarah Herrity brings together the best of national and local research and practice to provide invaluable professional development for history leaders, history teachers and SLT history line managers. It will be the first in person history conference we have been able to run since 2019 so it will be great to come together to hear from national and local speakers to inspire you in moving your history provision forward.

Keynote speakers:

Robin Whitburn and Abdul Mohamud from Justice to History, GCSE textbook authors and HA presenters confirmed

Neil Bates and Christina Brown from Harrowway School (where the history department have just achieved the Historical Association Quality Mark for secondary history provision) confirmed

There will also be Contributions the talented HIAS Secondary History Steering Group: Stuart Farley, OCR regional adviser and History leader at USH, Tamsin Leyman, Leading history teacher and leader of Wildern History SCITT, Wendy Drodge, Humanities lead at Priestlands, Dave Whineray, history lead at Hounsdown school).
